Technology Description
ADLINK has partnered with Arm to create the AVA AP1 rugged in-vehicle development platform for SOAFEE to develop and test vehicle functions with “mixed criticality”. SOAFEE’s reference application is Open Robotics ROS 2 with Autoware.Auto, and the default ROS middleware Eclipse Cyclone DDS with iceoryx zero-copy and Zenoh V2X. The development platform leverages the software-defined approach to deliver new in-vehicle experiences and features that meet consumers’ demands and expectations, and unlock new opportunities for automakers, Tier 1s, software providers and cloud providers.
ADLINK found Ampere Altra to be the ideal partner silicon for the developer platform. As a rugged in-vehicle development platform, the AVA AP1 provides customers with required compute power and resources to host their mixed criticality and virtualized workloads. This allows customers to mix and match their operating systems and applications implementing the latest cloud CI/CD technologies and best practices. When using with the AVA Developer Platform, a companion product of the AVA AP1, and Arm-based clouds, customers can transform their vision from developer’s desk to vehicle without cross-platform compilation, cross-platform debugging, and complex toolchains.
